| Freya & George |
August 30, 2009 |

I first met Jo & Jon Cook when I shot their wedding, back in 2003. Since then I have also done a shoot when Freya was first born in 2006, and so was over the moon to hear from them again a few weeks ago, to ask me to do another family shoot, with little George, who was born in June.
We met at Jesmond Dene. so that Freya could be occupied with the animals at Pets Corner.......although the ice cream van proved to be more of a distraction!!
Jo & Jon, shall I book you in the diary for another 3 years time??

| Nice Day for a White Wedding!! |
August 20, 2009 |

| Last weekend I had the pleasure of shooting Judith and Paul White's wedding. After tipping it down at the church, we were blessed with glorious sunshine for the reception at Ramside Hall near Durham. Below are just a handful of some of my favourite images from the day......it's so hard to choose sometimes!! Bec. |

| Inspired |
August 18, 2009 |

| After visiting a new wedding venue and chatting with the charismatic and inspiring owner, Ali and I walked away feeling like we'd met a bit of a kindred spirit - sharing a very similar vision and understanding of how to pull together a unique and gorgeous wedding for clients. When we got back the office, Ali put these images together as great examples of beautiful themes we've seen at weddings in the past. Whether it's garden party or elegant marquee, these themes are simply gorgeous.........we hope they get your creative neurons firing too! |

| Ashleigh & Tony's Wedding |
August 18, 2009 |

| Ashleigh and Tony were married on a perfect day at Seaham Hall on Aug 2nd. Everyone had such a fantastic day, starting with great entertainment provided by the kids while Ashleigh and the girls got ready. Below are some of my favourite images from the day. Enjoy!! Bec. |

| I absolutely love silhouettes. They add a more artistic dimension to any wedding album and capture a different, sometimes more innocent feeling. |

| Ashleigh is a natural in front of the camera, happy, relaxed and looking gorgeous. |

| One of the more unique moments of the day was during the ceremony when Ashleigh and Tony's little boy, Josh, was feeling poorly and could only find comfort in the arms of his parents. So the ceremony continued with the three of them and was such a sweet moment for everyone to have been a part of. |

| The kids at this wedding had a fantastic time on the bouncey castle and slide. And after a few drinks in the sun, it seemed the grown-ups couldn't help but get in on the action too! |

| These last two images are great examples of the lengths people will go to, to get a smile out of a reluctant child. I love these shots and they make me laugh everytime I look at them. |

| Katie & Issy |
August 12, 2009 |

Bec had a fantastic time last week with the gorgeous Alison family, while they were holidaying at Bumburgh. 5 year old twins Katie and Issy provided heaps of entertainment and all three generations of the family were up for anything and everything, including a few fierce piggyback races!!!
The shoot was done to celebrate the 50th Wedding Anniversary of Jack and Margaret. What a lovely way to celebrate and keep treasured memories from their holiday together.
Congratulations!!!! |

| How to take great pics of kids: Part 1 |
August 12, 2009 |

Whilst up in Glasgow last weekend, Bec and I had the pleasure of doing a portrait shoot for Sheila Samuels of 88 Events. She wanted some shots of her four grand daughters - all 3 and under.
Trying to occupy four toddlers can be a challenge - especially trying to get great shots at the same time.......but we have a solution......lie your second shooter on the floor and get the kids to spinkle grass on her head!! Works a treat as you can see from below!!
We had a blast - the girls were gorgeous and in fact our job was very easy!! |

| Here are some of the shots I got whilst Bec was being covered in grass..... |
